Dexter Bowling is pleased to announce that it has extended its partnership agreement with International Bowling Congress Youth Development and will continue as title sponsor of the annual Dexter/United States Bowling Congress High School All-American Team through the 2019 season.

For the past 11 years, Dexter and the USBC have selected 10 student-athletes to the Dexter/USBC High School All-American Team, an honor bestowed on only five male and five female students annually out of thousands of applicants nationwide.

Students are named to the All-American team based on their high school bowling accomplishments, academic achievement, recommendations, extracurricular and community involvement, submitted essays and resumes and must be nominated by their high school coach or athletic director.

“It is important for Dexter Bowling to continue to award the achievements of high school bowlers,” Dexter Bowling Vice President Bud Clapsaddle said of the program’s three-year extension. “During the past 11 years, the Dexter/USBC High School All-American Team annually has showcased 10 student-athletes who have made a tremendous impact for their schools on the lanes and in their communities. We’re excited to continue our partnership with IBC Youth to recognize outstanding student-athletes.”

“We appreciate Dexter Bowling for its continued commitment to high school and collegiate bowling,” added Gary Brown, IBC Youth Development Managing Director. “High school bowling has seen tremendous growth since the first Dexter/USBC High School All-American Team was selected more than a decade ago and the team has become an integral part of high school bowling.”

Dexter Bowling also will continue to sponsor the coach and player luncheon at the Intercollegiate Team Championships as part of this extended agreement.

Each high school bowler selected to the All-American team receives a $1,000 scholarship and the team members will be honored at the Junior Gold Championships in July. In addition, the team will also be featured in a future edition of the Dexter Bowling annual product catalog.

Now in its 11th season, the Dexter/USBC All-American Team was first introduced in the 2005-2006 season. For more information, visit BOWL.com/HighSchool.
