Dexter Bowling is proud to be the official bowling shoe sponsor of the upcoming 2017 L.L. Bean PBA League Elias Cup and the MaineQuarterly.com Roth/Holman Doubles Championship. The special week-long event, which begins on Monday, April 10th culminates on Sunday, April 16th with the Roth/Holman Doubles finals and Elias Cup finals.
Held at the newly expanded Bayside Bowl in Portland, Maine this year, this highly anticipated tournament brings together many of the world’s best bowlers, including several Team Dexter pros, as well as celebrities from the entertainment industry and other notable stars in the world of professional sports who are among the competing teams’ owners each year.
Expected at this year’s competition are the following teams: the Brooklyn Styles, featuring Dexter’s Walter Ray Williams, Jr.; the Portland Lumberjacks, featuring Dexter’s Wes Malott; the Silver Lake Atom Splitters, owned by comedian-host Chris Hardwick (son of PBA Hall of Famer Billy Hardwick) featuring Dexter’s Tom Daugherty; the Dallas Strikers, owned by six-time NFL Pro Bowler Terrell Owens; the L.A.X., owned by NBA star Chris Paul, featuring Dexter’s Jason Belmonte; Tennis legend Billie Jean King’s New York City WTT King Pins, featuring Dexter’s Carolyn Dorin-Ballard as manager; The Philadelphia Hitmen, owned by actor Kevin Hart, managed by Dexter’s Jason Couch and featuring Dexter’s Dom Barrett; and the Motown Muscle, owned by pro football Hall of Famer Jerome Bettis, featuring Dexter’s Josh Blanchard.
The star-studded event is being held at the newly renovated stadium-style center, Bayside Bowl, owned by Justin Alfond, former Maine state senator and the grandson of Dexter’s founder, the late Harold Alfond.
During the Thursday afternoon of the qualifying rounds, on April 13 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., visitors are invited to view an exclusive demo of Dexter’s revolutionary T H E 9 footwear and are invited to try on a pair of men’s or women’s T H E 9 shoes.
The MaineQuarterly.com Roth-Holman Doubles Finals will be broadcast live from the Bayside Bowl, on ESPN, at 1:00 p.m. ET on Sunday, April 16.
The PBA League Elias Cup quarter finals on the 15th and semi-finals and finals and 16th, will be broadcast at a later date.
