Known to his fans as “Belmo”, Jason began bowling as a toddler, and the two-handed style he adopted then has propelled him to international stardom, including first place at the World Tenpin Masters in 2007.Second only to Jason’s performance is his unique approach. The Australian native’s unorthodox two-handed delivery has made quite an impression in his short time with the PBA, resulting in the 2008-2009 season Rookie of the Year Award. He rounded out the 2009-2010 PBA season with a number-six ranking.
In the 2010-2011 season he had seven top-10 finishes. He ranked seventh in earnings ($65,050) and ninth in average (218.82). Belmonte finished sixth in the Dick Weber PBA Playoffs seventh in the PBA World Championship and 10th in U.S Open. Overall in the 2010-11 season Jason ranked 4th.
Jason and wife Kimberly have a baby girl named Aria, who was born during his rookie season. He enjoys a bit of golf in his time off from the tour.
